My interest in photography emerged from long stays in the field as an ecologist.
I now use photographs to tell stories about science, natural history, and the people that dedicate their lives to these subjects.
Background: I have worked as an assignment photographer for National Geographic (Gelada Monkeys Feature and Proof, Conservation Drones), and had photos/video published in The Atlantic, GEO, and several news outlets and television series.
In 2017, my work screened at Visa pour l'image: International Festival of Photojournalism at Perpignan and was winner of the Banff Mountain Film - Mountain Photo Essay Grand Prize. In previous years, my work has featured at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival and at Por el Planeta, Mexico City.
